At Dixon, we believe in improving the quality of life. Our initiatives involving rural infrastructure development, mid-day meal plans for government and government-aided schools have benefitted thousands of people from the economically backward sections of our society. We are also highly committed to ensure social and economic development by promoting education, offering vocational training and various other development opportunities to ensure prosperity and well-being over the long term.
Ensuring Employee Welfare
To prevent Coronavirus infections, we undertook several initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of our people. We organised a free vaccination drive for our employees at Noida and Tirupathi. We also made provisions for contactless remote monitoring package for Covid positive employees and their family members. Besides, financial assistance was offered to families of deceased employees and their family members were asked to work for the company.
As the second wave of Covid infections spread, oxygen scarcity in hospitals affected several patients. To alleviate these issues, we procured oxygen cylinders for our people and their families, prepared SOP and formed a rapid action team to coordinate these efforts. We also donated oxygen concentrators to government officials and state governments. Two life support ambulances were also donated to Noida Authority under our CSR initiative.
Preventive Steps Adopted at the Workplace
Workplace safety was a priority after the pandemic. As a result, we implemented several preventive measures including strict adherence to social distancing protocols, making provision for work from home and regular sanitisation of the factory and offices. We also supplied adequate PPE kits, digital scanners, thermometers, masks, gloves and sanitizers at the workplace. A Crack team was also appointed at all plants and information about Covid hospitals were readily supplied to employees across our plants.
